NC PARTNERSHIP FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

NCPED Governance

NCPED is governed by a board of directors that includes the chairmen of each of North Carolina’s seven regional partnerships. The board elects an NCPED chairman and treasurer, who serve one-year terms. Board meetings are held quarterly and include top officials of the North Carolina Department of Commerce, which holds observer status with NCPED.

Statewide, over 200 North Carolina business, community and governmental leaders comprise the collective governance of the seven regional partnerships. For 2007-08, those individuals represented nearly every North Carolina county.
