North Carolina has been ahead of the curve when it comes to regionalism, creating seven regional partnerships under the North Carolina Partnership for Economic Development, which in concert with the state’s Department of Commerce addresses the unique needs and resources of each region in effecting economic progress.

NC PARTNERSHIP FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

NCPED Marketing Council

Providing cohesion, continuity and synergy to North Carolina’s marketing efforts, the Marketing Council of NCPED is comprised of marketing directors of the N.C. Department of Commerce and the seven regional economic development partnerships and commissions. The purpose of bi-monthly meetings is to explore opportunities for tactical collaboration and coordination of regional and statewide promotional and outreach efforts.

Through an extensive menu of programs and activities, the Council reaches out to industry leaders, site-selection consultants and corporate real estate professionals in an assertive and unified effort to highlight the state’s readiness for modern industry.
